The questions we are asked most, answered plainly.

Why do I have to give my details to see a price?

Because the seller asked us not to publish it. A figure on the open web is a figure the neighbours, the competition and every passing agency can repeat. Releasing it to a named person costs you nothing and gives the seller a list of who has seen it.

Do you charge buyers anything?

No — not to search, not to unlock a listing, and not to be introduced. The seller pays a commission when a sale completes, and that is the only money that changes hands with us.

Do I have to create an account?

You can search and browse without one. When you ask about a listing, an account is made for you from the email address you give — there is no password to choose and nothing to confirm before you see the details. It exists so the listings you have unlocked stay open next time.

Can I see the exact address before I ask?

No. The map shows an approximate position until you have been introduced, which is deliberate: the street address is the one detail that lets somebody go around the seller entirely.

Can a foreigner buy property in Croatia?

Usually, but it depends on your passport. Citizens of the EU and EEA buy on the same footing as Croatians. Buyers from outside may need approval from the Ministry of Justice, which turns on whether their country has a reciprocity agreement — and many buy through a Croatian company instead, which sidesteps the question.

How quickly will somebody reply?

Usually the same day, and from a person rather than an autoresponder.

How do I stop hearing from you?

Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and your account has a switch for it. You can also ask us to erase everything we hold — the page on data requests explains what that covers and what we are obliged to keep.

Is my enquiry kept forever?

No. The details of an enquiry are reduced automatically after 24 months and removed after 60. What remains in between is what we need to settle a commission that may be disputed.
